Have you ever considered yours?
I started this piece inspired by what I wrote down as my beliefs some years ago when I remigrated home. A hard time that required a reset in my mind, I think it is helpful to know, decide and/or realize your beliefs.
Writing this I thought about a title and came up with ‘my truth’s’ but started to wonder, what is the difference between truth and belief as I consider these beliefs to be my truth. But ‘my truth’ is subjective and what we generally call truth is objective, in other words something we have decided to be reality as it is.
My truth is really mine and it is funny to see there are some clear subjective ones in my list. Here they are:
- Health is nr 1 priority since we only have one body and without it, we cannot experience life.
- An active life keeps us young.
- Life happens to all of us and we all try our best to make the best of it. Whatever that means is individual.
- We have clear instincts and function for a large part based on them. We are animals. Our behaviour might not always be nice. In essence we are nor good nor bad. Or we could say both.
- We are one. We come to life and we go again, this is not in our control, we did not create life. Life is a Mystery.
- We can learn how to heal ourselves.
- We create our own life experience.
- Dance is the most beautiful thing in the world.
- And cats are very cute and very funny.
As I look back on my list, I count nine. Which is slightly annoying to me because somehow, I prefer the number ten. For no reason whatsoever, so I am not going to add another. Tell me can you come up with three of your beliefs?
1.
2.
3.
